Homestay is an excellent opportunity to learn about Canada’s culture and practice your English skills after school. It will give you a chance to make connections outside of school and meet new people and make friends. Homestay is your safe and comfortable home away from home.
All host families are different. Some are young families with children while others are older adults whose children have grown up and no longer live with them. Some host families have pets whiles others do
not. We match students and hosts based on their preferences and circumstances.
Many families decide to host international students because they are interested in other cultures and want to learn about them and perhaps give an opportunity to their children to learn about other countries.
Host families are kind hearted and genuinely interested in helping newcomers to Canada to learn about life in Canada and have a smooth transition.
Although all homes and rooms are different, every homestay room will have a bed and clean linens, A desk and chair, a closet or a dresser for your clothes and belongings and window.
Yes, opening a bank account and getting a Canadian SIM are straight forward for international students.

Summers in Niagara are very hot and can be humid as well so T-shirts and shorts are a good option. Spring and autumn are relatively short and mild so a light jacked/rain coat would be ideal. Winters are quite cold here compared to many countries so make sure to pack warm clothes if you will be staying in Niagara over winter.
In case of any emergencies, contact 911. For minor issues, try discussing it with your homestay family politely first. If this is not possible, you can always contact us to help resolve any issues. We are here to support you during your stay in Canada.
